Event Description: “The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas’ mural programme aims to bring artists and communities together in the creation of amazing art. Where there are murals, there is colour, there is a tale, there is memory. Designed by two students from North Long Island High, Akeem Deal and Kenraya Miller, and painted by their schoolmates and students from NGM Major High—under the guidance of their art teachers, Natasha Turnquest-Knowles and Charles Knowles—community members and our lead artist Amaani Hepburn, it has truly been a community effort to create this mural which pays homage to the beauty and strong bonds of the Long Island community.
