Event Description: “GALLERIE 909 presents 'Emancipation Day – Juneteenth: Educate and Celebrate' on Monday, June 19, 2017 @ 6:00pm-9:00pm. We need to come together to educate our youth about the importance of this date in our history. We will educate and celebrate and provide a space for those longing to connect. Commerce w/vendors, drumming, conversations, art projects and more ... Every cultural event needs to have drums and we have them. Bring yours or use ours and let's create the sound we want. Bucket drums too!!!! All are welcome! Please share this event!!! This is a community friendly event and all are welcomed. We will be registering people to vote so bring anyone who is NOT registered. Broadcasting Live from this event! Come be a part of this cultural experience. Summer evening, Free Family friendly fun. About Gallerie 909: “GALLERIE 909 - is an African-American art gallery founded by Carla Bristol in April, 2014. This gallery is centrally located in the heart of historic Midtown on the Deuces in a community that has inspired artists for generations. The Dr. Carter G.
