Event Description: “The Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts (CMCA) invites you to '2nd Thursday in the Courtyard' on Thursday, May 11, 2017, @ 5:00pm-7:30pm! Appetizers, Music and Cash Bar - Pan African Drummer, Ras Joe, will be accompanied by Adenike who will perform traditional Ghanaian dance. The Centennial Commission sponsored a DESIGN A NEW FLAG contest in conjunction with the Invisible Heritage Exhibit. Students from St. Croix School's participated. The student winners will receive their monetary awards this 2nd Thursday. The Museum Center will be showcasing the Lloyd Braffith Dove paintings they have FOR SALE. The sale of these works will go to our Education Outreach Programming for 2018. About 2nd Thursday: “On the 2nd Thursday of every month (with the exception of July and August) CMCArts opens its courtyard and galleries for an evening of live music, delicious hors d'oeuvres and exciting artwork, It gives art lovers a chance to visit CMCArts in the evening, and show openings are often coordinated with 2nd Thursdays in mind.
