Event Description: “Shawn Peters' 'Down, Down the Rabbit's Hole' opens Tuesday 8th November, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Horizons. With musical guest guitarist Stefan Roach. Shawn Peters is a multi-talented artist whose work comprises several media and materials such as wood, stone, metals and canvas to name a few. This is his third solo exhibition, and in keeping with his previous solo shows, Shawn continues the narrative that ties his remarkablework together. Below is the artist's statement for his 2016 exhibition titled, 'Down, Down the Rabbit’s Hole' ... Artist's Statement: “This is the third chapter in an unfolding story. In my first solo show, the story began with a young sculptor called Nyack, who lived in a place called Pyes Coté, dominated by two tribes, the Yambusi and the Tamaloas. Nyack was a Yambusi who had the ability to speak with the ancestral Sun. One day the ancestral sun looked upon the people and realized they were devoid of form.
