Event Description: “59Rivoli Gallery of Paris France is pleased to host the first BoxOut international fundraising exhibition for the Caribbean-based non-profit organization The exhibition titled "Mixed Bag" will run from April 28th- May 8th, 2016 with an opening reception on April 28th from 5pm-10pm. The event is free and open to the public ... The exhibition will feature a wide variety of international small contemporary art works including paintings, drawings, mix media, photography, embroidery and digital pieces. This is a fundraising exhibition to support the ongoing efforts of to continue to exhibit its permanent collection of contemporary art in developing countries throughout the Caribbean, Africa and South America. Curated by Artist GA Gardner of Trinidad and Tobago, contributors include an international group of over 40 visual artists: Sarah Knights, Trinidad and Tobago; Judith Ganz, Germany; Serge Game, the Netherlands; Beata Obst, Poland; Lorenzo Valverde, Spain; Behzad Mahmoudpour, Iran and David Ibata, United States amongst other countries. According to GA Gardner, this newest fundraising project is being launched with the hope of making international small works of contemporary art more accessible to collectors around the world, while creating a financial support system to promote and educate about the genre. 59Rivoli is a cultural alternative space in the heart of Paris France that houses 30 artists' studios and a gallery on the main floor.”Read more: and
