Event Description: “You've all been so supportive of R. Brent Malone: Reincarnation, which is a pretty brilliant exhibition, if we do say so ourselves. Now, we're spreading the word about the first Reincarnation programming event! On Thursday, December 17, Marysa Malone, manager of the Brent Malone estate and daughter of the late legendary artist, along with art dealers Jay Koment and Uli Voges will lead a discussion on Bahamian art and the market place and cultivating collectors. The talk will venture into managing artists' estates and selling art after an artist has passed and how and why artists should establish relationships with collectors to support themselves. As with all NAGB events, this one is free and all members of the public, particularly young artists and estate managers are encouraged to attend. The event begins at 7 p.m.”Read more: https://www.facebook.com/TheNAGB
About NAGB: “Housed in the historic Villa Doyle, built in the 1860s and lovingly restored in the 1990s, the NAGB preserves the National Collection of Bahamian Art, part of which is on permanent display on the ground floor. Upper galleries engage the history of Bahamian Art and Visual culture and support contemporary movements and experimental contemporary art practice through temporary exhibitions. The NAGB also has an extensive public program schedule, community and regional projects and partnerships, arts education workshops, and a free public art library.”Read more: NAGB: http://www.nagb.org.bs/
