About the Artist: “Arthur Dillard and his paintings have been featured in Jet Magazine and on the front page of the Bradenton Tribune along with a full-page article. Dillard's signature painting, Emergin' of a Queen was the official poster for the First Annual Manatee County African American Festival of the Arts and was also displayed on the front cover of the Manatee County Government's Public Library monthly newsletter in February, 1998. Arthur's The Making of a King painting was featured in the October, 1999 edition of Sarasota Arts and Entertainment Magazine.
